A gorgeous sunset, a tropical beach, wind through the palm trees... perfect time for a little romance.

For the base I used a couple coats of "Milkmaid" by Hema to create an opaque white base to paint on. Everything is hand-painted using Jo Sonja's acrylic paint and my 3/0 Raphael Kolinsky brush. This took forever to paint, but it was so worth it! I love the way the sky came out.

I recently decided I'm going to look for the perfect top coat and the first one I'm trying out is "Good To Go"  by Essie. So far I'm loving it! It's quite runny, which makes application very easy, and it dries super quickly. I'll have to use it some more to see how long designs last and how quickly it becomes goopy in the bottle, but for now I like it a lot. One major downside is that it's very expensive here in Belgium, so I'll be continuing my search for a cheaper option.

For my last Valentine design this year I teamed up with the lovely and talented Martina aka @p_inklilynails. She is so sweet and incredibly good at painting detailed designs with polish.  If you don't know her yet, go check out her page! You won't be disappointed! Her gorgeous winter forest with fox design is one of my favorite manis all winter (and fall).

She came up with this amazing idea to do a kissing couple with a beach sunset and I'm so glad she did because it's my favorite freehand all year! I'm absolutely in love with all the pretty colors.
