Mandala Nail Art -- Born Pretty Review --

Time to scratch another design off my bucket list, Mandala nails!

The stamping plate I'm using for this design is this stunning arabesque mandala stamping plate (ID = 33725) from BornPrettyStore. It's a small 5.5cm round plate, but it can be used in many different angles to have a unique design on every nail. The plate works absolutely perfectly, like all my other BornPrettyStore plates, and I have no trouble picking up a design with my stamper.

This plate is also perfect for all kinds of stamping techniques like reverse stamping, gradient stamping, plain stamp on a one color base, plain stamp on a dry marble or gradient base, etc. I did a quick gradient and reverse stamping design to see what it would look like and I'm in love with both of them! The reverse stamping is definitely time consuming but so worth it!

For the design I started with 2 coats of Keeping Suzi at Bay by OPI. Then when the last coat was almost dry but still a bit sticky I dabbed on these gorgeous blue-green Chameleon flakies from BornPrettyStore (ID=39759) (review here). Next I applied one coat of HK Girl by Glisten & Glow to seal in the flakies.

Using my mini metal clear jelly stamper (ID=37901) and Milkmaid by Hema I stamped on the mandala design. After waiting for 10min I applied one coat of HK Girl by Glisten & Glow. Depending on your top coat and the polish used for stamping you might need to wait a bit longer so the stamp doesn't get smeared when you apply the top coat.

I absolutely love this little plate and can't wait to use it again with different techniques and see how it turns out!
