The ring inspired Halloween nail art

The ring nail art

I know, Halloween is already over but I still really wanted to do this nail art.

When Halloween comes around it's time to re-watch all the scary movies. Of all the things in those movies the ones that scare me the most are; creepy little children, scary clowns and especially girls with white nightgowns and long black hair in front of their face.

This nail art was inspired by the creepy girl in the well-known movie The Ring. I'm actually too scared to watch the movie myself but that doesn't mean I can't recreate it on my nails!

For the base coat I used two coats of Velvet Chic by New York Color, although it isn't really visible anymore.

I sponged some black, light grey and brown acrylic paint over the base coat to create the background. The little trees and the girls are drawn with acrylic paint and a cheap brush from eBay.

The topcoat is one coat of Insta-Dri by Sally Hansen.

Since it's a Halloween horror movie manicure, I felt that a matte version would be a perfect fit.

I used Silk Matt top coat by Catrice to create the matte look.
